Clarendon Marathon

This year a few members of team Millgate helped out, took part and had a great day at the iconic Clarendon Marathon.

Organised by the Rotary Clubs of Winchester and Salisbury the marathons route runs from one Cathedral to the other along the ancient Clarendon Way. More than 90% is off road, with the trail following country tracks and paths many of which have not changed since being travelled by the ancient Kings and Queens of England.

As manager of the bike team our MD Rob Carter leads the runners back to Winchester on his beloved mountain bike. 26.2 miles of encouragement. Adrian our Development Manager helped man the Welcome Station at the finish line.

Andy Parkinson, one of our Assistant Site Managers, won the All Male relay race with his team. The Parkinson family wiped the board by also winning the All Female and Children’s relay races .

The 2019 marathon was a great success and helped raise money for a wide range of local charities. Roll on 2020!
